
Aim
Develop a design for an easy pickup tool. The design must be developed for both users who haveĀ reach restrictions as well as users who collect rubbish. The device will be a hand-held and handĀ operated.




This concept is attempts to fill the gap of a pick-up tool that can cater for different-sized and shaped objects. This is achieved by having interchangeable heads, allowing for the effective grasping of an object by choosing a more suitable head for the task.
As the users may have strength and agility issues, there is a focus on comfort and ease of use. The interchangeable heads are required to be simple to swap.
Three head designs were chosen; a pincer, scooper and magnet.
